On June 20, 2018 we held our First Annual Coalition luncheon to celebrate the coalition’s successes over the past year and a half. In addition, Lieutenant Bill Meier was awarded Vernon ROCKS Coalition Member of the Year for his hard work and dedication to preventing substance abuse in our community. We are hosting our Take Back Day on April 27th at Walgreens in Vernon from 10am -2pm! Bring any unused or unwanted medications to dispose of them safely.
Did you know April is Alcohol Awareness Month? This a time to educate ourselves and others about the potential risks and effects of alcohol consumption along with promoting healthy choices for a safer environment. For example using terms like Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) recognizes that it is medical condition with evidence based treatments available.
